This Performance Event was based on the notion of the 'repossession of a communal space' (Bell 1998) and linked the site's notorious horse racing past dating from the1700s, with its current communal use as one of the town's largest areas of open parkland.  Runners wearing horsehead masks retraced the path of the original racecourse, with the intention of reflecting the brooding presence of horses in this ancient communal space.
