Kate Smith is a Northampton based artist and printmaker, currently interested in extending the boundaries of monoprint to include large scale works. This technique produces a mirror image of the original drawing, and possesses a characteristic immediacy in which the result is always just beyond the artists control. This unpredictability is consistent with recurring themes of her work which, while often based in natural landscape,  also reveal elements of disturbance and of brokeness,
